Jason Byrd, CPA, joins Parkridge East Hospital as chief financial officer. Byrd comes to Parkridge East Hospital from Salem, Va., where he served as assistant chief financial officer since 2013 for LewisGale Medical Center, a 506-bed HCA sister facility.
Sandy Hobbs is promoted to first vice president, director of branch administration, for SmartBank, a subsidiary of SmartFinancial, Inc. She has served the local banking community for more than 20 years.
Sarah Aligo is the new director of development for The Chattanooga Area Food Bank. Aligo previously worked as senior director of alumni programs and development at the Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio.
Kerri Hosmer is named vice president of adult education at Georgia Northwestern Technical College. Hosmer previously worked as director of instruction Northwestern Tech and was formerly an administrative assistant at the Rome-Floyd Public Library.
Michael Pippin, M.D., joins CHI Memorial Women's Health Associates. Dr. Pippin earned his medical degree from University of Tennessee Medical Center where he completed an internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology.
Melissa Boatwright joins Legacy Senior Living in Cleveland, Tennessee, as director of clinical support. Boatwright joined Legacy in 2015 as the director of resident care of Legacy Village at Park Regency in Moultrie, Georgia and was promoted last July to executive director of the facility.
Peter Harrison joins the Chattanooga law firm of Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel, P.C. to expand its estate planning and tax practice. Harrison, a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, relocated to Chattanooga last fall after building his estate planning practice in Connecticut.
Madyson Foster is joining Capital Square, LLC as executive assistant and marketing manager. Foster has more than three years of customer service and marketing experience with Ameriprise Financial in Chattanooga.
Guru Medam, M.D. joins CHI Memorial Internal Medicine Associates – Chattanooga. Dr. Medam received his medical degree from Dr.NRT University of Health Sciences in Andhra Pradesh, India and a masters in sports medicine from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Gerogai. He completed his internship at Kurnool General Hospital in Kurnool, India.
Hodgen Mainda was promoted to vice president of community development for EPB. Mainda, who joined EPB in January, previously worked in government relations and business development for a law firm, a physicians practice and, most recently, for Noon Development and River Branch Strategies in Chattanooga.
