Among the 20 counties in the Chattanooga region, three fourths have gained population since the 2010 census. The growth rates of area counties from 2010 to 2016 were:

 

TENNESSEE

Bledsoe: 14,676 — 14 percent

Hamilton: 357,738 — 6.3 percent

Bradley: 104,490 — 5.6 percent

Sequatchie: 14,897 — 5.6 percent

Van Buren: 5,689 — 2.5 percent

Meigs: 12,005 — 2.0 percent

Franklin: 41,700 — 1.6 percent

Rhea: 32,442 — 2.0 percent

McMinn: 52,850 — 1.1 percent

Marion: 28,446 — 0.7 percent

Polk: 16,772 — -0.3 percent

Grundy: 13,389 — -2.3 percent

Coffee: 54,682 — 3.6 percent

 

GEORGIA

Catoosa: 66,398 — 3.8 percent

Whitfield: 104,589 — 1.9 percent

Walker: 67,896 — -1.3 percent

Dade: 16,257 — -2.3 percent

Chattoooga: 24,824 — -4.6 percent
