Champions of Health Care honored

More than 300 people gathered at a September luncheon at The Chattanoogan to recognize the 2017 Champions of Health Care. From among nearly 150 nominations, nine winners were chosen by industry leaders for their service, innovation and leadership as health care practitioners, administrators and volunteers in Chattanooga.

Market City Center opens

Market City Center, the largest new residential complex built in downtown Chattanooga since the 1970s, celebrated its grand opening on the patio of the $30 million complex. Boyd Simpson, president of the Simpson Organization, said the 125-unit apartment complex will include a Bantam & Biddy restaurant among 20,000 square feet of commercial space and another 20,000 square feet of offices to transform the long vacant 700 block of Market Street.
