Leadership Chattanooga Alumni Association meets new Chamber president

Members of the Leadership Chattanooga Alumni Association met the new president and CEO of the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, Christy Gillenwater, during a lunch and learn event in January at the Business Development Center.

Gillenwater, a former president of chambers of commerce in both Evansville and Bloomington, Ind., joined the Chattanooga Chamber in late 2017.

 

Fed economist predicts more growth in 2018

Dr. David Altig, a top economist at the Federal Reserve Bank in Atlanta, told hundreds of Chattanooga business leaders that the U.S. economy should continue to grow at a modest pace in 2018.

Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke and Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger said the local economy is outpacing the U.S. growth rate.
