Tips for Those Attending the Event
HAVE A PLAN
As you enter the Formal Affair, you'll receive a diagram of the vendor booths showing vendor locations within the exhibit hall. Make a note of the vendors that are "must-visits" for you, but don't skip any. Many have surprises you wouldn't have expected, and you never know whose services or products you may love!
REGISTER FOR PRIZES
Each bride and groom, or those planning other special events, will have the chance to register for prizes. Not only are we giving away door prizes donated by our sponsors, but our vendors will give away door prizes as well. This is one of the best parts of the event - getting a chance to win gifts and services for your wedding or other special event! We'll announce the winners of our sponsors' door prizes immediately following the fashion show, from the fashion show stage. You must be present to win these prizes. Our vendors' door prizes will be handled by each of the vendors, and they will contact each of the winners following the event.
DRESS ACCORDINGLY
Dress to move and have fun. Thousands of soon-to-be brides and others planning special events will attend, so you'll want to wear comfortable shoes to keep up with the crowds.
DRINK PLENTY OF WATER
Staying hydrated is one key to maintaining the energy you'll need to visit all of the vendor booths.
PACE YOURSELF
The Formal Affair lasts from 1 to 5:30, so there's plenty of time to research, ask questions and meet the bridal & special event professionals.
GET A SEAT
Our 2010 Formal Affair fashion show will take place at 4:30. This year’s fashion show is being produced by Kim Coulter, owner of StyleMakers and Fashion Editor of CHATTER Magazine. It will be fabulous and you don’t want to miss it! Our special guest will be on stage for the fashion show as well, so that promises to really make it exciting!
STAY ALL DAY....
A lot of fun things are being planned for this event. As mentioned above, the vendors will be giving away door prizes, so stay the entire time and visit all of the vendor booths to register for these giveaways. Our sponsors' giveaways are really awesome. They will be announced from the stage following the fashion show. Once again, remember, you must be present to win the sponsors’ giveaways.
