Location: Just north of downtown Chattanooga, Red Bank's commercial and residential areas cluster on either side of Dayton Boulevard. The city is surrounded by Chattanooga.

Founded: 1955

Government: John Roberts is the mayor and Eddie Pierce is the vice mayor. Rick Causer, Ed LeCompte and Terry Pope are the other city commissioners. Randall Smith is the city manager. Arnold Sulce is the city attorney. Johnny Houston is the city judge. Residents elect the commissioners by popular vote, and the commissioners choose one of themselves to be the mayor. The commissioners also appoint a city manager.

Next election: November 2016. Eddie Pierce's and Rick Causer's seats will be on the line.
