As the weather warms and the flowers begin to bloom, it means it's time for open footwear for many in the Scenic City.
New Balance Chattanooga is ready to help ladies specifically find just the right sandal to kick off the spring season with the store's new collection of Cobb Hill sandals. The Cobb Hill brand is the birth of a partnership between the owner of New Balance and known footwear designer Bob Infantino, according to local New Balance Store owner Angela Kearney.
"This brand of sandal is a women-specific line designed to target the younger, more fashion-driven crowd," Kearney said. "They are made from the best materials imaginable."
The sandals come in a variety of styles that range from everything including bright colors and prints, to more simple black or brown leathers. Some feature straps that fasten while others are open on the heel with wedges.
There's truly something for every woman, whether she's looking for casual and sporty or dressy and fashionable, Kearney said. In addition to the style variations, she added that the sandals are also available in different sizes and widths including narrow, medium and wide.
"Finding sandals in a narrow fi t is rare," she said. "On top of that, the leather sources they use are incredible and everything has a soft, subtle fit and it holds up well. The brand is performing unbelievably."
Kearney said their store has a modest inventory of the narrow fit sandals currently, but as spring continues, more of the popular styles and sizes will be coming in for customers. For men, Dunham brand boat shoes are trending high this spring and are also available at New Balance Chattanooga. Also overseen by Bob Infantino, this light and trendy boat shoe features portals on the side for those who do use them on the water.
Kearney said they are made to drain and dry quickly. Regardless of the customer and what they are looking for this season, Kearney said that she, her husband and their well-trained staff are ready and willing to help in any way they can.
New Balance Chattanooga is privately owned by Angela and Hal Kearney, who are both board-certified pedorthists. "We leave no stone unturned when it comes to helping a customer and making sure we look at even the minute details of a fitting," Angela Kearney said.
New Balance is one of the largest doctor-referred brands in the world. The secondary brands of the newly formed DryDock Footwear Group - Dunham, Aravon and Cobb Hill - are falling right into place with physicians and their patients' needs. The Kearneys sit down with sales reps from all the New Balance family of footwear brands regularly to select the most supportive and orthopedically sound styles. "We try to carry the best possible assortments that these brands make," Angela Kearney said.
