Clients praise Fischer Evans' outstanding service, quality pieces

Fischer Evans has long been trusted source of beautiful items for members of the Chattanooga community. David P. Hawley has been a lifelong customer of Fischer Evans, from the time of his engagement in 1975 to the present day.

"We've got good friends there, and they've always done us right," he said. "They're very accommodating, trustworthy and offer pieces you can't find anywhere else."

Hawley shared that while his wife does not have pierced ears, she can still get pieces customized there to what she wants, with clips or whatever needs to be done to create the right look. He added that one year he was so caught up in his work that he forgot his wife's birthday and their wedding anniversary.

"I went in to Fischer Evans, and they helped me find a beautiful diamond and sapphire ring that she still wears today," he noted.

Graham Massot is a recent client, directed to Fischer Evans by a friend when looking for an engagement ring for his now-fiance.

"From the outset I had certain specifications and price limitations that I thought might make it difficult to purchase a ring from Fischer Evans," he said. "However, their jewelers and staff walked me through different options step by step, working with the ideas that I had in mind and creating a comfortable environment with no sense of pressure."

Eventually, with their help, Massot decided that it would be best to buy a ring and have it engraved by one of their craftspeople, a process that took much less time than expected and allowed him to get a ring that was both unique and feasible for his budget.

When it comes to reasons why clients keep coming back to Fischer Evans over the years, local James LaMance shares that it is due to the retailers levels of quality, trust, customer service and integrity that are simply unmatched.

"I'm not one of their biggest spenders, but every time I come to Fischer Evans I'm treated as if my purchase was just as important as any," he said, noting that he first shopped there for his wife's engagement ring in 1962.

For the past 30 years, LaMance has worked with the owners before purchasing different selections, including a slide bracelet that's now one of his wife's favorite pieces.

"It took me nine years to finish the twelve pieces," he said. "The owners were very helpful working with me selecting the slides."

Robin Derryberry of Derryberry Public Relations, LLC, shared how Fischer Evans has not only won her business, but that of many of her top clients.

"I had this one client from out of town who always wore this one particular necklace," Derryberry said. "It was a comfort to her as much as it was a beautiful piece."

Derryberry went on to share how during a meeting, as this particular client was preparing for a gala to celebrate the grand opening of her business, her treasured necklace broke.

"She was a nervous wreck and just in tears," Derryberry said. "I asked her if she would trust me to take it to Fischer Evans to be repaired, assuring her they could do the job and that it might just take a day or two."

Fischer Evans not only repaired the necklace back to perfection, according to Derryberry, but did the job in just under two hours and had it back to the customer ready to go for her event.

"They didn't even charge me for it," Derryberry said. "They understood that my top priority was my customer and her peace of mind, and so they made it theirs too. That's truly remarkable."
