NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee health officials say there may continue to be local outbreaks of swine flu for weeks or months.
In a news release Tuesday, the Tennessee Department of Health said the swine flu virus is still active in the state though flu activity has declined since October.
Health Commissioner Susan R. Cooper encouraged Tennesseans to get vaccinated if they have not.
H1N1 (swine flu) vaccine is widely available throughout the state and is still offered free at county health department clinics. Additionally, it's offered for a fee at retail locations.
