Alexian Brothers Senior Neighbors announces events in the coming week.
* Join the Alexian Brothers Senior Neighbors Soddy-Daisy Senior Center for fun at Chester Frost Park on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Call 332-1702 for more information.
* In honor of Older Americans Month, the Soddy-Daisy Senior Center will host a day of health and wellness screenings, health information, door prizes and giveaways on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The center is located at 190 Depot St. in Soddy-Daisy.
* Flexibility and balance classes are offered on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 11 a.m. at the Alexian Brothers Senior Neighbors, 250 E. 10th St.
This fun and educational class will focus on muscle-strengthening exercises for legs along with coordination exercises that help participants improve their posture and balance.
Flexibility and balance classes are free for Senior Neighbors members and $3 for nonmembers.
* A Social Security Administration representative will discuss recent changes on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Alexian Brothers Senior Neighbors Soddy-Daisy Senior Center, 190 Depot St.
* Friday is the deadline to register for the free Lunch and Learn on May 18. Robert Laugherty of Brackett Rheumatology will speak on arthritis and answer questions at noon at the Alexian Brothers Senior Neighbors building, 250 E. 10th St.
