Seven Chattanooga personalities will headline Dancing with the Stars Chattanooga on Saturday, June 25, at the Tivoli Theatre.
The ballroom dance competition, a local version of the top-rated ABC network show, is a fundraiser for the Partnership for Families, Children and Adults. The event is chaired by Alexis Bogo and Lynda Hood, and presented by First Tennessee Bank.
The 2010 event drew more than 800 guests with a sold-out VIP party to see the special guest, television dancer Maksim Chmerkovsky. The Partnership announced that this year's event will also feature a star from the ABC show whose name will be revealed in late April.
This year's competitors are Jimmy Adams, Nell's Interior Design and The Arc Pet Spa; Rhonda Catanzaro, Tennessee Education Association; Robin Derryberry, Derryberry Public Relations; Sara Mingus, North Shore Yoga; Mark Ramsey, Spears, Moore, Rebman & Williams, P.C.; Stephen Ratterman, First Tennessee Bank; and Tahnika Rodriguez, Tennessee Valley Authority.
Each celebrity dancer will complete 15 dance lessons at the local Fred Astaire Dance Studio during the months leading up to the event. They will perform with their Fred Astaire professional instructor.
Tickets range from $20 to $125. They will go on sale April 25, when the guest star is announced.
