Allied Arts will host an Arts Build Communities orientation workshop on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Allied Arts, 406 Frazier Ave. The workshop is for nonprofits interested in collaborating on arts activities.
ABC is a grant program funded by the Tennessee General Assembly and administered by Allied Arts in cooperation with the Tennessee Arts Commission.
The grant orientation workshop will address eligibility, grant guidelines, examples of programming and the grant application process. First-time applicants are strongly encouraged to attend.
All organizations should then plan to meet with Marilyn Harrison, vice president of Allied Arts, before submitting grant applications.
Application deadline is Aug 31. Programs should be scheduled to take place between Oct. 15 and June 15.
