Rossville's Lauren Alaina Suddeth, who finished second on Season 10 of "American Idol," has a personal style that's a work in progress.
During her three-month run on the show, the 16-year-old was described as everything from a "hot mess" to a "cowgirl Barbie."
Now, Suddeth and 10 other finalists from "American Idol" are on tour. Later this month, the Idol Live tour will make stops for concerts in Atlanta (July 26) and Nashville (July 30).
You can earn two free tickets to the Nashville show at Bridgestone Arena by winning our contest to design a paper-doll outfit for Lauren. It's just for fun. An array of the best designs will be featured in a Life cover article on Friday, July 29.
Just follow the rules at right to enter.
Glue the newspaper silhouette of Lauren, located on Page E6 of this section, on a piece of heavy stock paper and cut it out. (Or download her paper doll silhouette at www.timesfreepress.com. Click on the "Paper Doll" story under Life.) You may design your outfit using colored pens, pencils or paint or by attaching real fabric scraps, rhinestones, feathers and other materials, as shown in these examples. Be creative, have fun and give Lauren a style no one will forget.
Include your name, address and a daytime phone number with your Lauren Alaina doll. Carefully wrap your entry and mail it to: Chattanooga Times Free Press, ATTN: Dress Lauren Alaina contest, 400 East 11th St., Chattanooga, 37403. Entries must arrive at the newspaper by Tuesday, July 26, to be considered for the ticket giveaway. Hand-delivered entries will also be accepted until 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, at the above address. Entries will be judged by members of the Times Free Press design staff. The Idol Live ticket winner will be notified on Thursday, July 28, and announced in the newspaper on July 29.
