Honolulu's "First Lady of Jazz," Azure McCall, will close out the Spigel Concert Series tonight at the Creative Arts Guild in Dalton, Ga.

McCall will be backed by The Louis Heriveaux Trio, featuring Louis Heriveaux on piano, David Potter on drums and Tommy Sauter on bass.

Over the course of her 30-year career, McCall has toured and performed with Michael Feinstein, the Honolulu Symphony and jazz artists including Houston Person, Freddie Hubbard and Joe Sample.

She is a two-time Na Hoku Award winner for Jazz Album of the Year, for "Body and Soul" in 1999 and "Harlem Nocturne" in 2002.

Guild director Terry Tomasello calls the evening a "not-to-miss" event for jazz fans.

"Azure is sure to bring the house down with her onstage performance and vocals," she said.

Ticket holders are invited to bring their dinners, beverages and snacks to enjoy during the concert.

This is the second year of the concert series, named for the Guild's former director, Bernice Spigel.
