Tickets are on sale for the concert honoring Roland Carter to be held Friday, April 19, at 7:30 p.m. in First Baptist Church, 402 Gateway Ave.
Carter retired from the Music Department of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga at the conclusion of the winter semester.
The concert will include performances from the UTC Chattanooga Singers, Chamber Singers and Men's Chorus, The Choral Society for the Preservation of African American Song, the Hampton University Chorus, the Morehouse Glee Club and soloist Gail Robinson-Oturu.
A reception for Carter will follow the concert. Tickets are $5 in advance and may be purchased through the UTC Box Office, 425-4269. Tickets at the door will be $10.
