Kangaroo Express supports JA
What: Kangaroo Express stores made a donation of $129,389 to Junior Achievement of Chattanooga and JA's Ocoee District, raised through its Kash for Kids campaign. Junior Achievement is a nonprofit dedicated to teaching financial skills to young people.
Benefits: The $90,149 raised in Hamilton, Catoosa, Walker, Marion and Sequatchie counties will benefit Junior Achievement of Chattanooga. The $39,240 raised in Bradley, McMinn, Meigs, Polk and Monroe counties will benefit Junior Achievement of the Ocoee Region.
Siskin Hospital benefit draws hundreds
What: About 700 guests heard Trisha Meili, "The Central Park Jogger," describe the brutal attack on her more than two decades ago and her journey through rehabilitation during the annual Possibilities luncheon at the Chattanooga Convention Center.
