Erlanger Foundation honors Lawrence, Perrin and Main

What: The Baroness Erlanger Foundation honored ophthalmologist Dr. Harry M. Lawrence, pediatrician Dr. Millard F. Perrin and community honoree Robert P. "Bob" Main at the annual Distinguished Physicians' Brunch held at Chattanooga Golf and Country Club.

About the honorees:

Dr. Harry Lawrence has practiced ophthalmology for 45 years and continues to see office patients two days a week. For 25 years, he served as chairman and associate professor of the Department of Medicine Chattanooga .

Dr. Millard Perrin practiced pediatrics for 35 years. During the 1970s, he was an associate professor of clinical pediatrics at UTCOMC. Dr. Perrin also served as Chief of Pediatrics at Children's Hospital and as Chief of Staff at Erlanger Health System.

Bob Main has served as president and chief executive officer of Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation since 1988. He was previously associated with hospitals in Illinois, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Iowa and New York. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and former ACHE Regent for Eastern Tennessee.

Community theater rededication ceremony held

What: About 350 guests attended the rededication ceremony and open house for the newly renovated Community Theatre inside Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Auditorium.

Highlight: Guests were given a demonstration of the interactive kiosks that will record information and photos about local veterans from any service branch.
