PINS

Riverbend pins, good for all nine nights of the festival, go on sale at area Kangaroo stores May 1. They cost $32 until June 7, then go to $45. Single-night admission is $26.

Rock/pop band O.A.R. and the traditional fireworks show will close out the Riverbend 2013 festival on June 15.

Joining O.A.R. at the festival will be '80s pop sensations the Psychedelic Furs, former Old Crow Medicine Show frontman Willie Watson and British blues rockers Leogun, according to assistant talent coordinator Jeff Styles.

Set to headline on the Coca-Cola Stage, O.A.R. (Of a Revolution), formed in 1996 in Rockville, Md., and released its first album, "The Wanderer," before graduating from high school. Vocalist Marc Roberge, drummer Chris Culos, guitarist Richard On, bassist Benj Gershman and saxophonist Jerry DePizzo each attended Ohio State University and they recorded two additional albums before leaving the campus.

Their most recent studio album, "King," was released last year and debuted at No. 12 on the Billboard 200 chart, No. 3 on the Billboard Digital Album Chart, and was No. 3 at iTunes on the day of the release.

Led by singer Richard Butler, the Psychedelic Furs are perhaps best known for the songs "Heartbreak Beat" and "Pretty In Pink," which was used by director John Hughes in a film with the same name. Forming in 1977, the band continued until 1991, when it broke up for 10 years before regrouping in 2001.

Willie Watson was the lead singer and songwriter for Old Crow Medicine Show for 13 years, but has embarked on a solo career.

Leogun is a London-based trio that plays old-school rock with a heavy blues influence a la The Rolling Stones and Cream.

Previously announced acts for this year are singer/rapper Cee-Lo Green on the Coke Stage on June 8; country singer Jake Owen headlining on June 7; and R&B/pop vocalist Brandy on the Coke Stage on June 9.

Contemporary Christian stars Newsboys will headline Faith and Family Night on June 11, when the a cappella Voices of Lee will perform as well. Country star Dierks Bentley is on the Coke Stage on June 12; and jazz guitarist Larry Carlton plays the Unum Stage on June 13.
