Q: Dad, at what point do I become an annoyance when people don't respond back, even though they said they would, and I keep trying to get in touch with them?
A: This is something a lot of us deal with on a daily basis. Very often, we need the information and we need it soon. But, being a pest doesn't alway help the situation. If someone says they will get right back to you and they don't, it's possible something came up they had to deal with. One email reminder is good, then a phone call later in the day to make sure they are even in the office should be enough. Repeat a day or two later. Sometimes people do need a reminder.
