Performing Arts League luncheon tops $12,000

What: About 160 guests attended the Performing Arts League's luncheon and fashion show held at the Mountain City Club. The fundraiser also offered shopping in the Baubles Boutique. Fashions were from Anna Ball White and Yacoubian Tailors.

Benefits: The event raised more than $12,000 to support PAL's scholarship and performing arts education programs for area youth.

More than $40,000 raised for CWLI

What: Chattanooga Women's Leadership Institute held its 10th annual Impact Dinner recently at the Chattanooga Convention Center. More than 540 guests came to hear featured speaker Susan Packard, co-founder and former executive of HGTV network. Packard was named one of CableWorld's "most influential women" in cable television.

Benefits: The event raised more than $40,000 for CWLI programs that increase leadership skills and capabilities of women in the Chattanooga area.
