Matthew West to headline Faith & Family Night at Riverbend

photo Contemporary Christian artist Matthew West will headline Faith & Family Night on June 9.

Matthew West will headline this year's Faith & Family Night, also known informally as Sweet Tea Night, on the Tuesday, June 9, night of the Riverbend Festival, according to officials with Friends of the Festival, which presents the annual event.

Also performing that night will be a choir from Rock Point Community Church in East Brainerd, Kerrie Roberts, Tenth Avenue North, Standing Against the Odds, Dan Bremnes and Seventh Time Down.

West is best known for the hits "More," "You Are Everything" and "The Motions." He's also written songs for Natalie Grant, Casting Crowns and Point of Grace, as well as country acts, Rascall Flatts, Billy Ray Cyrus and Vince Gill.

Faith & Family Night is the one night of the nine-day festival when alcohol sales are suspended and the entire musical programming is geared toward contemporary Christian music fans.

The festival will take place June 5-12.
