BARRY COURTER: Lisa, looking over the calendar for this week, several items caught my eye, but one jumped right off the page. Can you guess which one?

LISA DENTON: Knowing your love of music, the obvious choices would be roots rocker Lucinda Williams at Track 29 on Wednesday or former Police drummer Stewart Copeland at the University of the South on Saturday. But I think I'm going to go with the upcoming dinner show by N2 the Woods Productions ... since it's titled "Legs & Lungs" and features the Figurines performance troupe.

Either that or The Chattery's next program, "How To Contour Your Face" at Elea Blake Cosmetics. I'm thinking that with "Zoolander 2" about to start filming, you might be looking for makeup tips to make it look like you're sucking in your cheeks, Ben Stiller style, without actually sucking in your cheeks.

How many guesses do I get anyway?

BARRY: All good events. And J. Roddy Walston from up the road in Cleveland, Tenn., will be joined by his band The Business on Thursday at T29 also.

But the event that just leapt off the page at me was the Sips To Save Lives wine tasting to benefit the Humane Educational Society at Terra Nostra Wine and Tapas Bar. You know how I feel about saving animals.

LISA: Uh, yeah, that's why you were interested. I'm sure you would be just as excited if they were serving Yoo-hoo.

BARRY: Honestly, if sipping wine is all it would take, I've saved enough animals to fill 100 arks. McKamey Animal Care and Adoption Center is also having a fundraiser with a catchy name on Friday -- "High Society: For Debu-Dogs & Aristo-Cats at the Walden Club."

Also, our friend Janet Williams returns to The Comedy Catch this weekend. Did I ever tell you what fellow local comedian Karen Mills said about Williams? She said, "I can write a funny joke, but Janet is just funny. She is funny reading the phone book."

And Round 5 of the Road to Nightfall is Friday night at Rhythm & Brews.

LISA: Round 5 is the last preliminary round before the finals on April 4 to determine which local band will headline one of the Nightfall concerts this summer.

And we really need to drive up to Crossville, Tenn., on Saturday to see Jason Ross in his one-man show of songs and stories. He's such a force on the Cumberland County Playhouse stage, I can hardly believe this is his first solo show. Good for him. He's very entertaining.

BARRY: He's big on "the 'Toe." I hear that's what the natives call the Cumberland Plateau. Actually, he'd be a star anywhere.

LISA: By the way, your very first sentence reminded me of a joke. It's too long to tell here, but I'll include it in Thursday's Laugh Lines in ChattanoogaNow.
