Living and Giving: Wine Over Water draws estimated 3,000 [photos]

* What: The annual Wine Over Water wine-tasting benefit for Cornerstones, the local historic preservation organization, sold 2,900 tickets for the event on the Walnut Street Bridge, according to Ann Gray, executive director of Cornerstones. Gray estimates that between ticketholders, participating chefs and others involved in putting on the fundraiser, about 3,000 folks attended the Oct. 1 event.

* Benefits: Historic preservation efforts of Cornerstones. This year's proceeds also will help fund the new Cornerstones professor in residence in historic preservation in the Department of Interior Design at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
