The Performing Arts League Inc. of Chattanooga announces March 1 is the deadline for applications for either its grant or scholarship, which will be awarded in April.
Performing Arts League is a nonprofit that promotes arts awareness, education and performance opportunities for talented youth in and around Hamilton County.
The purpose of the league's grant and scholarship programs is to encourage the expansion and development of projects that recruit, develop and/or train youth for participation in all disciplines of performing arts, including dance, theater, vocal and instrumental music.
PAL Grants are available to organizations that are active participants in such programs. More than one project within an organization may qualify for grant requests, but only one grant will be allocated per organization per year.
Scholarships are available to individuals who are active participants in such programs. More than one student within an organization may make a scholarship request, but only one scholarship will be allocated per student per year.
To apply for either the grant or scholarship, download an application from PAL's website at www.PalChattanooga.org. Completed applications must be received by March 1. Notification of awards will be made by April 30.
