Maclellan Shelter for Families

- What: Representatives of the Chattanooga Community Kitchen and Maclellan Shelter for Families accepted a $200,000 donation for the shelter that was raised through proceeds of the 2016 Grateful Gobbler Walk. More than 4,200 people participated in that Thanksgiving Day event.

- Benefits: The Maclellan Shelter located on the grounds of the Chattanooga Community Kitchen. The shelter includes 13 units with 64 beds to house homeless families, allowing them to remain together as they search for permanent housing.

Ronald McDonald House Charities

- What: See Rock City Inc. representatives recently presented a donation of $15,781 to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga. The gift was raised through ticket proceeds from Rock City's Enchanted Garden of Lights, the holiday light extravaganza held at the Lookout Mountain attraction during the month of December.

- Benefits: Programs of the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Rock City staff announced that 2016's record number of event guests made this donation the single largest so far. It brings the grand total given to more than $177,000 through this long-standing partnership with RMHC.
