LISA DENTON: Excuse me for a minute, Barry, while I finish this yawwwwwn. I know we picked up an extra hour of sleep this weekend, but then it was dark at 5:30 last night, so it's going to take me a few days to adjust.

BARRY COURTER: I'm not too proud to admit to occasionally going to bed around dark, but the waking up at 1:30 a.m. after a solid eight-hour sleep is just not right.

LISA: One of the good things about the time change is that it means we're even closer to Christmas - Christmas Eve is exactly seven weeks from today. Which means there are already a lot of holiday happenings.

Like the production of Irving Berlin's "White Christmas" on Friday at the Tivoli, Back Alley Productions' "Over the River and Through the Woods" Thanksgiving show and Ensemble Theatre of Chattanooga's "The Long Christmas Ride Home." Hamilton Place will have its Santa arrival parade Saturday morning, the same day Bass Pro Shop opens its Santa's Wonderland.

BARRY: Hold on a minute. I'm still wrapping my head around the seven-weeks-'til-Christmas-Eve thing.

LISA: There have already been Christmas open houses at some of my favorite antiques stores - I know because I was at them. And there are more of those coming up this weekend, like at the new and fabulous Chattanooga Mercantile.

Christ United Methodist will have its Gingerbread Shop on Friday and Saturday, and there are Christmas Markets on Saturday at Jones Memorial United Methodist in East Ridge and First Baptist Church of Lakeview.

It all leaves me a little breathless. We get paid this week, don't we?

BARRY: Seven weeks. ... There are some good music shows this week. Songbirds is again very busy with Marcus King there on Thursday, Randall Bramblett and Jerry Joseph and the Jackmormons on Friday. Larkin Poe and a Nirvana tribute band on Saturday. And Dawes is at The Signal on Sunday.

LISA: And we need to give a shout-out to Lanco, who'll be bringing their "Hallelujah Nights" tour to The Signal on Thursday. Drummer Tripp Howell is originally from Dalton, and Brandon Lancaster went to college at Lee University. Their first single was "Long Live Tonight." You reckon it's about the time change?
