LISA DENTON: Barry, I don't know if you noticed last week, but some unknown page designer/section editor/savior of journalism actually left "Off the Couch" off the page.

BARRY COURTER: Some might say he or she was doing the Lord's work.

LISA: Could be. Even worse, I heard from approximately no one about this terrible oversight. I figure our reader was too inconsolable to call or email.

BARRY: We've always suspected we were avoided in big numbers every week, and now we have some proof. Hopefully, people will figure out to ignore us here on Page 2 each Monday.

Actually, I hope they do find us because there are some cool events going on this week. Boo in the Zoo, which I like mentioning in part just because of the name, is Friday and Saturday. Those are the same days that JJ's Bohemia will be celebrating its 12th anniversary. Stoned Cold Fox is there Friday, and then Saturday, they will celebrate with 12 bands in 12 hours. That's a lot of music.

LISA: Boo in the Zoo will continue the next weekend, too. I love the marketing they're doing - a meerkat dressed as a vampire with a cape and fangs. It reminds me of how the Tennessee Aquarium always dresses its mascots - which are obviously costumes - in costumes for Halloween. Their big party, AquaScarium, is Oct. 26.

BARRY: Since we're talking about events with punny names, McKamey Animal Center is holding its annual Barktoberfest and Meowoween events Saturday.

LISA: And "Disney on Ice" is at McKenzie Arena this weekend with "Worlds of Enchantment." I love these tours. I remember seeing one several years ago that had all 101 dalmatians on the ice by the end of the show. I always feel obligated to take a small child when I go, but I know plenty of childless adults who do the Disney thing - theme parks, movies, ice shows, stage shows, whatever. You don't have to be a kid to love the house of mouse.

This show, "Worlds of Enchantment," tells four Disney stories: "Cars," "The Little Mermaid," "Toy Story" and "Frozen."

BARRY: And the Shaking Ray Levi Society is bringing David Greenberger to Barking Legs Theater on Thursday. He is a multifaceted presenter who incorporates music into his monologues, which for this show will be built around conversations he had with participants from the Signal Centers, which works with families dealing with disabilities.

If you like bass playing, Stanley Clarke will be at Songbirds that night, as well. He is pretty incredible.
