Signal Wind Energy Selected as Balance of Plant Design-Build Contractor for the Chevron Global Power Casper Wind Project

Signal Wind Energy, LLC has been awarded the balance of plant engineering and construction contract for the Casper Wind Project located in Natrona County, Wyoming. The Casper Wind Project is being developed by Chevron Global Power and will sit on 880 acres of the former Texaco refinery site located north of the Platte River.

Signal Wind is responsible for all design, engineering and construction for the project. Construction began in June of 2009. The scheduled completion date for the project is in the fourth quarter of 2009.

The Casper Wind Project will consist of 11 GE 1.5sle wind turbines--each producing up to 1.5 MW of power. Each wind turbine generator will sit atop a 262 foot tower and will be driven by a rotor 250 feet in diameter.
