CRANDALL, Ga. - Authorities in Murray County are investigating after three men were arrested on animal cruelty charges.

Sheriff Howard Ensley says three men were taken into custody Tuesday after a deputy answered a complaint that men had cut off a dog's head.

Authorities arrested 54-year-old Randall Blaylock, 45-year-old Jeffrey Lynn Fuller and 50-year-old Charles Roach on a charge of aggravated cruelty to animals.

Ensley says deputies found evidence that the canine was killed with an ax and parts of the carcass was put in a freezer.
