MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Three children were honored by the Murfreesboro Fire Department for reporting a fire at a neighbor's home.
The Daily News Journal reports 8-year-old Kaylee Culver, and Chaney Park and Grant Park, both 9, were each given a Courage Award this week for "showing outstanding courage in a scary situation."
According to the fire department, the children were walking through their neighborhood on Thanksgiving Day when they discovered a fire in the back of a home.
Officials said the children immediately reported the incident and firefighters were quickly dispatched.
