Chattanooga: Military plane's flat tire causes Airport delays

"There wasn't anything wrong with the plane or anything, but it disabled the aircraft on the runway," said Christina Seibold, airport spokeswoman.

At about 3:30 p.m. the tire blew out causing delays on several flights, she said. A tow truck was eventually brought on the scene to pull the plane off the runway, she said.

"Our secondary runway was open and most of our aircraft took off and landed as normal," she said. "Based on my preliminary information, three flights were affected by it."

As for what happened to the military airplane, that was not up to officials at the Chattanooga airport. According to Ms. Seibold, military aircraft frequently use the grounds.
