NASHVILLE - Gov. Phil Bredesen announced today a $43,200 grant for Martin Campbell Field Airport in Polk County.
"Local airports are vital to the economy and travel system of Tennessee," the governor said in a news release. "Investing in our airports helps them stay competitive and efficient at meeting the needs of businesses and travelers."
The grant, made available through the Tennessee Department of Transportation's Aeronautics Division, will be used to make improvements at touchdown points on two runways.
