Tennessee: Teen girl dies after being shot in Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. - A Jackson teenager has died at a hospital, two days after she was shot in the head in what police said was a domestic dispute.

The Jackson Sun reported the death of 16-year-old Taylor Woodson after she was removed from life support Saturday night at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis.

Jackson Police Lt. Tyreece Miller said Woodson and 19-year-old Jarmarcus Johnson had a relationship and had worked together at a fast-food restaurant.

On Thursday afternoon, Woodson was shot in the parking lot of an apartment complex. She was found next to a car in which the body of Johnson was behind the steering wheel.

Police said Johnson was shot in the head and a pistol was in his lap.

The newspaper reported Woodson was a student at South Side High School.
