Chattanooga: Meeting tonight in North Chatt to discuss crime

North Chattanooga residents will be meeting tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Riverview Park to discuss plans to make their community safer, according to the event's organizers.

Recently, eight suspects were arrested in connection with a series of property crimes in the area, said Sgt. Jerri Weary with the Chattanooga Police Department.

Tonight's meeting is one of two scheduled for the summer, with residents meeting again next week at Normal Park, Sgt. Weary said.
