Steel processor LJT Tennessee/Steel Warehouse is adding 84 jobs at its Chattanooga facility as it undertakes an $11 million expansion, officials said today.

The mechanical and structural grade steel tubing manufacturer and flat-rolled steel service center will put up two new building expansions totaling 70,000 square feet at its Centre South Riverport location.

The company will make $1.8 million in investment in real property and another $9.15 in equipment.

"This is an example of the strength of our existing businesses and their importance to our local economy," said Tom Edd Wilson, the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce's chief executive.

The company currently has 125 workers in Chattanooga.
