CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Lady Mocs have advanced to the Southern Conference tournament semifinals after defeating Georgia Southern 60-47 on Sunday in Time Warner Arena.
SoCon player of the year Shanara Hollinquest led all players with 17 points. Michelle Davis played a key role with 14 points. Jenaya Wade-Fray had 13 points.
UTC led 40-29 at halftime. GSU pulled within 44-40 before the Lady Mocs pulled away with a 9-1 run. They broke GSU's trap in the final minutes to finish off the win.
