Plough grants $4.5 million to UT pharmacy school

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Plough Foundation has awarded a grant of $4.5 million to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy.

The grant will be used to establish a facility to teach and train pharmacists, pharmaceutical scientists and highly skilled employees for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.

The Memphis-based Plough Foundation is a private organization that funds a diverse group of nonprofit entities that strive to address social and economic issues facing Memphis and Shelby County.

The UT College of Pharmacy has major campuses in Memphis and Knoxville and clinical education centers in Kingsport and Nashville.
