Three arrested in DeKalb cemetery meth bust

DeKalb County, Ala., authorities have arrested and charged three people with making methamphetamine in a cemetery on County Road 70.

Gregory Clark Jones, 28, of Fort Payne, Christopher Daniel Jones, 20, of Fyffe, and Tiffany Dawn Crocker, 19, of Rainsville, each were charged with unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance/second degree, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Stanna Guice said.

When Reserve Deputy Wesley Greeson was driving down the road in the Tenbroek area, he notified the sheriff's office of two suspicious vehicles in the cemetery, Ms. Guice said.

When officers arrived they found within 15 feet of the cars the remnants of a one-pot meth lab, as well as a gas generator, a syringe filled with a liquid substance and a small plastic bottle containing methamphetamine, Ms. Guice said.

Authorities searched the vehicles. Items that had been taken in the burglary of a residence in the Crossville area were found in the vehicle driven by Christopher Jones and Ms. Crocker, she said.

Ms. Guice said all three suspects were taken to the DeKalb County Jail, where they remain awaiting the setting of bonds.

Gregory Jones was out on bond on a previous drug possession charge, and that bond is expected to be revoked later today, she said.
