Monroe County Sheriff's Department officials are on the lookout for a man who escaped their facility early Friday.
Officials said Monroe County Jail Annex staff Friday morning discovered Christopher Chittum had escaped. Chittum is serving Tennessee Department of Corrections time on charges of criminal simulation, forgery, theft of property, and violation of probation.
The sheriff's office is working with state and local departments to quickly apprehend this fugitive.
