Trio arrested following robbery

One adult and two juveniles were arrested Monday following the robbery of a couple at 900 Dodson Avenue on Saturday, Chattanooga Police say.

David and Carol Holmes called police after three black males pulled a gun on David as he was leaving a restaurant where he'd run in to pick up some food they'd ordered, Sgt. Jerri Weary of the Chattanooga Police said.

The Holmes's said that as the trio approached David, one of them pulled a black revolver while the other two stood on each side of David preventing him from getting away, police said.

David handed over his wallet, containing $15 and some credit cards, before the group fled the area on foot, Weary said.

Several hours later, an officer working in the area noticed the trio in the 2000 block of Dodson Avenue and all of them were transported to the Police Services Center for questioning, according to a news release.

The Holmes's credit cards, along with a key chain that had several keys on it, were found in the back seat of the officer's patrol car after the transport, police said.

Christopher Burress, 18, and two 17-year-olds were charged with one count of aggravated robbery each, police said.
