Investigation of Be Magazine recommended

The City Council's audit committee recommended this morning that Chattanooga's auditor join it in an investigation of Be Magazine.

The magazine, run by Department of Education, Arts and Culture Administrator Missy Crutchfield and her department spokeswoman Melissa Turner, has been under scrutiny since the pair admitted working on the for-profit publication during city time.

The audit committee did not schedule another meeting to review the findings of the audit.
