A Catoosa County judge accused of using marijuana and pointing a gun at himself in a co-worker's office is on trial today before the Judicial Qualifications Commission in Atlanta.

Chris Townley, the attorney for Magistrate Anthony Peters, who has been accused of 13 counts of violating the judicial code, said the judge admitted to using marijuana for three months.

But Townley said Peters denies that he had ever threatened a judge or misused his position on the bench.

"You'll find he didn't do all these allegations," Townley said. "He did the ones he admitted, but he is regretful."
