The Catoosa County, Ga., sheriff's son is back in jail after he did not appear in court as scheduled on charges he received last year in Tennessee.

Jeremy Phillip Summers was arrested in October 2010 when he drunkenly dialed 911 and said a shooter was on the loose in downtown Chattanooga, records show.

But when officers from all over Hamilton County responded to the call, several with drawn rifles, they realized the 28-year-old had made a prank call and Summers was arrested.

Summers was charged with making false reports, 911 violation, criminal impersonation and public intoxication, court records show. He failed to appear in court on the charges.

Summers, who has been arrested at least five times in Tennessee, was taken back to the Hamilton County Jail on Friday, Chattanooga Police Department spokeswoman Sgt. Jerri Weary said.

Summers has been charged with multiple DUIs and in 2006 with burglary of an auto and vandalism charges, records show. He also pled guilty that same year to malicious mischief and the burglary charges were dismissed.
