A federal grant of $3.75 million will help the 750 employees looking for a new job after a Northwest Georgia mental hospital closes.

Northwest Georgia Regional Hospital in Rome, Ga., is expected to close Sept. 30, so the Georgia Department of Labor will use the federal grant to offer job-search training and career counseling for the hospital's employees.

The employees will receive the training at Georgia Northwestern Technical College from Tuesdays to Thursdays.
