The Internal Revenue Service office in Chattanooga is closed today due to a power outage.
IRS spokesman Dan Boone said the office at 5740 Uptain Road near Eastgate Town Center will tentatively reopen at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday as long as power has been restored.
In the meantime, Boone said taxpayers may contact the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 for assistance or may visit www.irs.gov
