UTC offense has another good day

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga offense had another good practice this morning at Scrappy Moore Field.

Just like Sunday, the offense got the better of the defense in most scrimmage situations, including a situational series in which the offense was backed up at its 1-yard line.

"They've been the best couple of days from an energy standpoint," offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield said. "We're a long way away from a fundamental standpoint - not that they don't know what they're doing, but doing it properly, the fundamental way."

Mocs coach Russ Huesman was very disappointed in the defense's effort Sunday and said he hoped, after watching film of today's practice, that it wasn't a repeat performance.

"We're not making enough plays on defense, but I hope we go in there and see it and it's great effort and we're trying and running," he said.

The Mocs will practice at 7:45 a.m. again Tuesday.
