Chattanooga police are looking for an elderly man who robbed drugs from a CVS Pharmacy, saying he had liver cancer.

The pharmacist in the CVS at 1150 Hixson Pike told police that, just before 1 a.m., an elderly man came in and showed him two guns in his waistband, said police spokeswoman Sgt. Jerri Weary.

The suspect demanded oxycodone and Xanax, saying he had liver cancer and would shoot up the place if he didn't get what he wanted, Weary said. The pharmacist gave the man several bottles of the pills.

The suspect then left the store and got into a vehicle waiting in the parking lot, Weary said.

No one was injured during the robbery, she said.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact Chattanooga police at 423-698-2525.
