A hearing for murder suspect Jesse Mathews, accused of killing a Chattanooga police officer, has been moved to Oct. 11.
Mathews, 26, appeared today in Hamilton County Criminal Court, where the judge set the date for a status hearing.
Police arrested Mathews on April 2, minutes after he reportedly killed Chattanooga Sgt. Tim Chapin, 51, in a shoot-out during botched robbery at the Brainerd Road U.S. Money Shops.
