Chattanooga man indicted on murder charge

The Hamilton County grand jury has indicted a 22-year-old Chattanooga man on a first-degree murder charge related to an April shooting death.

Police say Tyrone Carmichael shot and killed Cordarrius Armour, 23, at the Okie Dokie Mart on Roanoke Avenue on April 5.

The grand jury also indicted Carmichael for unlawful weapons possession.

He is scheduled for arraignment before Criminal Court Judge Barry Steelman on Aug. 26.
