UTC meets media in advance of trip to Nebraska

Four days before the season opener at Nebraska, University at Tennessee Chattanooga football coach Russ Huesman knows the challenge presented by the No. 10-ranked Huskers is great.

So is the exposure.

"You can tell we're playing a BCS school - I've been on the phone all week," Huesman said at his weekly lunch meeting with the media. "Any exposure for us is huge."

This is the fourth consecutive year the Mocs have faced one of the nation's top-ranked programs. UTC played Oklahoma in 2008 and Alabama in '09 before playing Auburn last fall. Alabama and Auburn faced UTC late in the season on their way to national championships in those respective seasons.

UTC quarterback B.J. Coleman, who started at Tuscaloosa and at Auburn, said he prefers to play the bigger programs at the beginning of the season.

"I like them at the beginning," Coleman said. "That way it leaves the Southern Conference at the last half of the year."
